Botswana Institute of Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI) signed an agreement with Pyro Carbon Energy (PCE) a citizen-owned company to produce gas or liquid products from coal. The project has commenced with the relocation of the CHR technology pilot plant to the BITRI Gaborone Satellite Office and the recruitment of two researchers dedicated to this line of research. The commissioning of the plant will be finalized in the future, thereby, paving way for work to commence.
