The new Deputy Permanent Secretary, in charge of Research, Science and Technology in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Science and Technology (MIST), Dr. Keoagile Molapong addressed BITRI Management and Staff on Wednesday 17th March 2015. Dr. Molapong expressed confidence in the capacity of BITRI to deliver on its Mandate and challenged the team to come with new innovations that are relevant to Batswana.

He further, on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Science and Technology (MIST) pledged support towards BITRI.Dr. Molapong started duty on Monday 2 March 2015, replacing Dr. Seja Maphanyane who retired from the public service in December 2014. Prior to joining MIST, Dr. Molapong was Senior Program Officer for Agricultural Research and Development at Southern African Development Community (SADC).
