Kabo Mosetlha is a Researcher in the BITRI Nanomaterials division where he currently explores the use of electrospun nanofibers for air filtration purposes. He is looking to take advantage of the high surface-to-volume ratio, high pore volume, low resistance and enhanced filtration performance of nanofibers to develop air filtration products such as face masks, surgical masks, protective clothing, automobile filters and other air filters.
Kabo graduated with a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Botswana in 2007. He has previously worked as a Senior Research Scientist (2008-2014) at the National Food Technology Research Centre (NFTRC) where his role was to conduct research in mycotoxins contamination in food, pesticides contamination in fruits and vegetables and the use of stable isotopes to assess human nutritional status.
