Khumo works as an Associate Researcher in The Climate Change Division. Her area of research involves quantification and modelling the risks posed by climate change on arable commercial farming in the country. This work entails developing hedging strategies for farmers to climate-proof their crop income during years of drought.

Khumo graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Mathematics and Environmental Sciences) from University of Botswana and she joined BITRI in April 2016.
