Othusitse is currently working under Building Materials Science, which focusses on research for abundant raw and waste materials for the design of sustainable Building materials. He graduated from The University of British Columbia in Canada, as a Materials Engineer specializing in processing and metallurgy.
Othusitse has completed several projects in all of which he applied research processes to reach results and make final decisions/recommendations and these include: an engineering design project where he, with his team designed a subscale model of the University of British Columbia autoclave; determining sustainable materials for insulating dry transformers; materials selection for a hockey stick shaft that would help optimize cost and minimize weight; and exploring different material testing techniques.
