As a Climate Change Researcher Penny undertakes applied research in order to advance knowledge and understanding of atmospheric processes to improve the understanding of Botswana’s climate. Her work includings development of methodologies to forecast the impacts of research for development, outcomes and impacts.

A trained Meteorologist, Penny brings a wealth of experience to BITRI having worked as a climatologist and in particular worked on the effects of climate change on various sectors of the Botswana economy, developed and used models of the atmosphere to predict the climate on scales beyond the medium range.
